I saw this recipe on Tinned Tomatoes run by Jacqueline, and had to give it a try, so instead of pancakes for lunch today I decided we would have a try at something different.
I am not a lover of butter in mashed potatoes but thought it may be needed to add flavour, so I used sunflower spread and changed the recipe to potato flour to keep them gluten free, but apart from that I didn't change a thing.
The children made the mix between them, with a bit of help in the folding flour into potato stage, then Bob rolled his out and made tattie scone men, and Fifi made stars, and a face, I played lazy and made a big round.
They were very edible, Bob ate his four and two more besides, I served them with beans, fried tomatoes and (ssshhhh dont tell Jacqueline) bacon, and Fifi and I topped off with a fried egg.
looks fab well done kids
