It has been a cold week but we still went out and had fun.
Sunday
This little chap came wandering through our garden, same time as last year, just before ten at night, though the flash does make it look like daytime.

Monday
We went off to our friends cottage again, we love it there and they are happy to have the company. We decided to have fun and we built a den, you can go and see the fun we had here. Bob decided afterwards he would have a seat.

Tuesday
Bob decided this morning that he was having far too much fun to come down for breakfast. He eventually came down and ate his breakfast, looked and the clock and said "wow it is ten to ten" Seems no time since he struggled with on the hr and half hr not so long ago so I was pleasantly surprised.

Thursday
The cupboard and loft sorting continues and today I found my jewellery box. This was bought for me when I was eleven. It use to play Edelweiss, but no loner does. There are still a few bits left in it from way back when, a few pieces from Berlin are still in there. Way past their best but memories none the less.

Friday
Up visiting a friend, love the view she has out across the headland. But I often wonder why the very out of place red brick wall is in the garden of the white house. Does it have some historic context?

Busy week for you then! We are on the loft mission in the next couple of weeks .. or when we get round to it lol
ReplyDeletewe put stuff in loft 4 yr ago when we moved it as we did not have time to sort it before we moved out, been up there 4 years. It cant all be needed.
Deletei love buttons all the different colours shapes and sizes. what a lovely find.
ReplyDeleteand how nice to see a hedgehog - i havent seen a wild one for years since i lived at home we used to get one who used to come in and eat the cats food!!! x
Poor little hedgehog as survived the winter so far.... Hope he wasn't caught outside when the snow came, he could freeze to death.... Maybe you haven't had the snow..
ReplyDeleteno we have had no snow but been bitterly cold.
DeleteThe photo of the hedgehog is great. Such a lovely thing to see. I love the wheelbarrow photo, he looks so chilled out.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth do you get a hedgehog to stay still for a photo? Any we've had seem to go faster than rabbits to get out of human sight if they hear anything at all.
ReplyDeletenot sure if he was cold or not, we took some food out but at that point he ran like the clappers.
DeleteWhat a great photo of a hedgehog, we don't really get anything like that around here.
ReplyDeleteI love the treasures you found in the loft and the hedgehog is very sweet. We had one in the garden last year, he used to sit there and eat the cats biscuits, the cats would just sit there terrified of it!
ReplyDeletelike the monday. he is so cute!
ReplyDeletehe does look incredibly relaxed in his wheelbarrow but I can't imagine it was that comfortable!
ReplyDeleteHello hedgehog, you don't see so many these days. Love the riding in style and of course that yummy pudding!
ReplyDeleteBusy week for you! we have two little hedgehogs that wander through the garden. have you heard the noise they make? for such little things they are very loud x
ReplyDeleteEmma I have never heard a hedgehog make a noise, will need to listen out and see, thanks for that.
DeleteOh yum - Hazelnut custard sounds really lovely and probably very nice comfort food too for this time of year!
ReplyDeleteits great for the cold snowy weather.
DeleteWoke memories for me too Elaine. I have a jewellery box that I had about age 11 too.. it winds up and has a ballerina that dances.
ReplyDeleteThe jar of buttons reminds me of my childhood. We used to play the same games as you and your daughter.
mine was not posh enough for a ballerina, just music. This generation just dont not what they missing, if I was to give my grandkids a jar of buttons and empty dished to pay with they would get me carted away.
Deleteooh you've had a busy one! I love the button jar too - I remember my grannie and nana both having one (I think my mum may have them in the under stairs cupboard) - it;s made me want to start one now - lord knows I've enough buttons!!
ReplyDeleteBob looks like a bit of a pushover there!
ReplyDeleteLove the wheelbarrow one!!
ReplyDeleteMy parents had a hedgehog in their garden...he was a good timekeeper, always set off the light at the exact same time each night!
