I'm not a fan of dried fruits or aniseed- but this was just perfection in a loaf-tin! I did manage to save a slice to let my Gran have a taste- she said she would enjoy it was a savoury snack with some relish or perhaps a mild cheddar? I am going to borrow this recipe and give that a try!
