Project 365 week 21

Been another unbelievable week, far to warm to go for a walk much before about 7pm with blue skies and not a drop of rain to be seen. Need some rain as the hayfever is getting annoying now and the eyes are itchy. But me and my Fitbit have done 49.39 miles this week, won't bore you with the rest of the stats.

Sunday

DD2 has come down for a few days with Ziggy. She was still up when I came in playing away quite happily.

Monday

Today Dinky has come out with spots so that is them both now with chicken pox. Bob was back at Glasgow for repeat blood tests to make sure his body is tolerating the new tablets.
A walk round Auchincruive while Bob at Gymnastics and then a walk round the fishery with DD2 and Ziggy as well after tea.

Tuesday

A few bits and pieces to do in town. A walk for us all down to the bluebell woods just after 7pm once it had cooled down.
Ziggy played on the swing, walked amongst the bluebells and throw stones in the river. We even did some bigger heavier ones off the bridge to make big splashes.

Wednesday.

Optician appointment for both of us, a change in prescription for my distance glasses which means a new pair of driving sunglasses as well as normal ones. Need sunglasses to drive so works out rather expensive. Also need new reading glasses.
Back and grabbed some lunch, said bye bye to DD2 and Ziggy, then went down to babysit for Bob, Dinky and Spud. DD1 is taking Minky for a bump up day for starting school in August, both the twins were suppose to be going but Dinky is still infectious so she could not go. Minky loved it and Dinky is to go in one day next week to meet her teacher.
A walk round the fields and down the woods after seven again.
The bridge has now been painted green and it has a name.

Thursday

A day of catching up with housework and blogging. Probably the first day this week I have had chance to sit down for much more than ten minutes at a time.
After tea we went to Dundonald to go for a walk round the woods there, not really much further away than Auchincruive and it made for a nice change. This is Old Auchans House.

Friday

Hubby has been busy all week painting the fences. Just a walk round the fishery and the field next to it tonight.

Saturday

The twins gave me each a piece of art work when I was in on Wednesday. Minky is very minimalist, Dinky keeps sticking until nothing else will stick.

  1. Isn't it funny how kids choose to make such different art? Both very cool. I hope your hayfever improves soon as that must be a pain. I had laser eye surgery 10 years ago and although it was expensive I think I have saved a fortune on glasses.

    1. two very different children in every aspect. Sadly I need two different prescriptions, one for reading one for distance so not sure surgery would work.

  2. Love Minky and Dinky's approach to art work. Sorry to hear about the chickenpox. Well done on the walking, it's far more than I ever manage.

    1. some of it is unavoidable mileage, not long in from work and my Fitbit shows 7.61 miles.

  3. You can see different personalities from the style of artwork. Isn't that amazing?! Hope the chicken pox wasn't too horrid. My elder one had it really bad, covered from head to toes, while the younger one had a light version. Love the old ruins, very picturesque. Hope you manage to keep your hayfever under control. I still haven't found the right meds for it, as most of the hayfever medication I have tried, makes me sleepy and drowsy.

    1. Minky had it really bad. hundreds of them more spotty skin than clear, Dinky got about 20 so yes we had two different reactions to the same illness.
They dont seem to make me drowsy thankfully.

  4. Uh-Oh with the chicken pox...I hope Bob is getting on OK with the tablets.
I love the artwork. My youngest is one who will stick until there is no more room and with my teen it's a case of less is more x

  5. How funny that Minky and Dinky have different approaches to art. It's a shame though that one had to miss out on the school day.

    1. she will get an extra day this week, I actually feel in some ways this has been better for them going on their own rather than sticking together.

  6. Lovely photos of the little ones this week. Hope the chicken pox is clearing up now. Well done on walking so far! My son has just had a prescription change, so that’s new glasses and contact lenses, but at least kids get lots of money off! My daughter has an eye test next week and I know she’ll need new glasses and sunglasses just because she’s grown!

    1. Minky had a lot and suffered badly for days, Dinky had less than a dozen and was neither up nor down with it

  8. Always seems to be this time of year that chicken pox does the rounds, lots of children off at the children's school, thankfully all seven have had it. Those two pieces of art are brilliant, love how they both have their own style! Well done on all the walking, I should probably measure how much I do each week as Merrie certainly needs lots of miles!

    1. Yes the pox have hit every 3 and 4 yr old in the village I think, ours were amongst the last to gt them. It is surprising how many you clock up, I often clock up 8000 or so just doing normal day to day stuff without throwing in dog walks.

  9. Lots of outdoor fun, good weather makes such a difference! (looking outside at the grey cloud and today's constant drizzle...) #project365
