Project 365 week 49

Gosh exactly  four weeks to go until my fourth year at this project is finished, the time seems to have flown by, I did wonder in year one if I could complete it but am still enjoying it most of the time.

Sunday

Off work for the weekend and as there was a geocaching event on fairly locally and despite the howling gales, the snow and the pishing rain we decided to go along. It was mainly in a hall with a reindeer dash to collect points. We were lucky when our team set out it remained dry for the most part. We were dressed from head to foot in waterproofs with wellies on our feet as it was boggy to say the least.

helping draw the raffle.

Monday

While I was in Morrisons buying stuff for yesterday's meeting I used my voucher I got for my birthday for a bunch of flowers. Very nice they are too.

Tuesday

Today was #givingtuesday and I know a friend of mine was feeling a bit down, so I decided to give. Went and bought her a wee pressie and sent it down to her, just cos I am nice like that.

a very small gesture

Wednesday

For some reason my computer decided it was doing nothing. I tried setting to an earlier time, tried formatting but keeping everything there, but no luck. So I backed up masses of stuff including just over sixty thousand pictures and videos that really need sorted  (most of which just need sorting to the bin)  and formatted it back to factory settings. Thankfully that sorted the problem. Just need to work out how to remove and reinstall yahoo mail as it is playing up.

Thursday

Went through to Stirling, was a clear dry day when we set off. Time we were coming back it was terrible, so much surface water, a lot more traffic on the road than normal as everybody was having to find ways round the Forth Road Bridge which is now shut, We normally make it home in an hour and a quarter, took us two hours just to get as far as Kilmarnock, by that time I was hungry needing to stretch my legs and needing the loo. There is just nowhere to stop as it is all motorway with no services en route. We stopped for something to eat before heading home.
Have to laugh, the sign above the gantries was slowing us down to fifty mph, try five more like.

the weather was awful

Friday

Always like to try and support local events if we can. So we went along tonight to a fundraiser for the cubs and scouts. Daughter has been involved in quite a bit of the organising as well.  Was a good turn out, many more people than they had expected. Met up with the other grandparents and spent about an hour there but was not much to do and it was too crowded and noisy. Fifi and Bob went to see Santa and daughter had arranged with him that the presents would be safe for Bob to eat.

Saturday

The prizes I won a few weeks back have started to come in. Some very handy wins some of which will make Christmas pressies, so all you are seeing is the outside of the boxes.

  2. That looks like an absolutely horrendous journey! You must have been scared of losing all those photos and videos when you sorted your computer out. I delete the bad ones as soon as I upload them to my computer, but even then I look back and wonder why on earth I saved some of the ones that are still on there!

  6. I went through the wins I'd been putting away through the year for Christmas and birthdays and was pleasantly surprised by how much I already had. Double bonus as I hate shopping.

  7. How sweet of you to send a surprise gift to your friend. Lovely flowers too. The journey looks absolutely atrocious. Our weather was abysmal too last week, hoping the next one will be better. Fed up of walking to school in the rain.
