So we are kicking off this week with 1st to 4th January, just to put us back on track for the Saturday linky.
Ist Jan
Well I live in Scotland so I could have enthralled you with a slice of black bun and a drink of the other national drink, but not got any black bun this year, so maybe next. I think the local councils are trying alternative forms of fuel to save money on lighting, saw this when we were out for a walk today.
anyone for a drink? |
2nd Jan
As per usual the grandchildren were over tonight. As part of their Christmas I had got them jigsaw puzzles, so the three of us sat for nearly two hours doing one. Never known the granddaughter to sit still for more than thirty seconds normally so this was a major achievement and good fun for all of us.

3rd Jan
It was wild, really wild here but I had no choice but to go into town as I had a check up at the dentist, nothing needed thankfully. But we thought we would take a wander down the beach and see the waves. It was still two hours before high tide at this point and I was shocked at the fact even then it was hitting the wall, coming over and spilling onto the road. Needless to say we did not stick around two hours waiting on it getting worse.
Cant believe just how grey the weather was/the pictures are.

4th Jan
When Fifi had been here the other evening she sat with one of the scratch arts that I had got her as part of her Christmas. I think she made a really good job of it. She seems to take a pride in getting things looking nice now in comparison to this time last year when it was rushed to get it finished so she could move onto something else,
