  5. It would have to be my lovely gran. She's 87, bless her, and deserves looking after a bit. She is registered blind and took a tumble down an unfenced slope the other week - all she could think about was that she had to get uptown to buy presents for my cousin, my husband and me. She had to be bullied into going to the hospital to get checked over - fortunately she just had a couple of bruises. So I would give it to her and tell her to have a day off from looking after everyone else for a change!

It would just be a little treat
And a pamper pack is hard to beat.

  10. I'm not gonna lie, I would be very tempted to give it to myself. But if I was feeling a bit nicer, my mum, she has had a rubbish year and doesn't have much spare cash. And she really loves free stuff (who doesn't!)

  24. I had been having a stressful day at work when my husband sent me a text asking me to let him know when I was leaving.
He said he would get the hot tap running, swirl around the foam and bubbles and time everything perfectly so that, the moment I walked through the door.......... The dishes would be piled up and waiting for me.
And that's his idea of pampering me. And although I could do with the prize for myself, I would give it to his mother.....She's had to put up with him for a lot longer than me.

  25. would it be selfish to say myself?! looks so fantastic!

on the other hand I would give it to my mother, who helps my sister and I out. we both have medical conditions which limit our day to day life. She is always willing to come over to my house, travelling two buses just to do my ironing or help me do some housework, pick the kids up from school and although I feel guilty about not being able to treat her, she never asks for anything in return for all the help she gives me and my sister

    ReplyDelete
  26. I would give it to my sister s we lost our mum last christmas and this year has been a difficult year and I would like to show her that I appreciate all her support.

    ReplyDelete
  27. My mum definitely needs a bit of nip & fab. She is just brilliant with my kids and I would love to give her a little treat as a thank you for all the little things she has done this year, like my ironing! Plus she puts up with my toddler tugging at her clothes and asking for her to change her nappies too and she always gets straight on with it, so I am very thankful for her.

  29. Give it away? Are you mad, dont you know that there's a recession?
My face needs all the help it can get to make a good impression
I wouldn't give it to my mum, she's not got a wrinkle in sight
My friends already look fab enough when we go out for the night
I'll give it to someone who needs it, and that person I can choose with ease (guess who!) but even if I dont happen to win it I can get one if I nip to Sainsbury's.

  50. I would keep it for me. Here's a poem to explain my reasons.

Traipsing round shops for that must-have toy
That's on every list of each girl and boy.
A hundred and one presents to wrap in a row
And no doctors open for your kids infected toe.
Children hyped-up on chocolate running round the house
Oh dear, Grandmother's polished off the last of the Famous Grouse.
So many crosses in sprouts your fingers have gone numb
And work's Secret Santa, what a pain in the bum.
Dinner for twelve when you only have eight chairs
Someone's eaten all the cheesecake, you didn't get a share. You forgot to thaw the turkey, it's still frozen through and through,
Your the only one getting stressed, as it's all left up to you.
Your son wont eat his vegetables, your vegan aunt no meat,
Keeping them all happy is a death-defying feat.
Christmas Eve you realise you forgot to buy for Jim
I wonder if the local garage will have something for him.
You'd like to watch some TV but there's nothing but repeats
Oh great it's started snowing it's already inches deep.
You take a deep breath and wonder if it's worth all the stress
Ten minutes of opening gifts for two weeks worth of mess.
Hoovering up pine needles well into the new year.
Hearing the same Christmas songs so often, you could almost shed a tear.
Even after all that, I still have to say
It's worth it when I see my kids faces on Christmas Day.
But by the end of Christmas I sometimes feel I've done several rounds in a boxing ring,
So to win a pampering kit so I could have some me time would be a perfect thing.
