Nestle Coco orange shreddies review

I was lucky enough to have seen advertised on Facebook a chance to get  a box of Coco orange Shreddies sent out for free, so as a cereal freak I applied and was successful. Nestle coco orange shreddies are a limited edition cereal, so if you like them stock up.

Whole Grain Wheat (76.3%),Sugars ,Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup ,Barley Malt Extract ,Fat-Reduced Cocoa Powder (1.5%) ,Cocoa Powder (1%) ,Salt ,Flavourings: Natural Orange Flavouring, Vanilla ,Vitamins and Minerals: Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin (B2), Thiamin (B1), Folic Acid (Folacin), Vitamin B12 and Iron ,To produce 100g of this product 76.3g of whole grain was included in the recipe

I opened them and ate a few straight out of the packet, and my first thought was how nice they were, a good combination of chocolate and orange. The orange flavour was very natural, certainly not a cheap artificial orange flavouring. They were your usual crunchy shreddies taste with the separate layers adding to the crunchiness.

Next morning I tried them for breakfast with yoghurt on, the same way I eat any cereal, and I was well impressed. they stayed nice and crunchy, the flavour was spot on and they were filling and satisfying. These are a handy size to pop into a tub to carry about with you and eat dry as a healthier snack than say a packet of crisps.

I am not too pleased that the second ingredient is sugar, but then you look at "normal" cereals like cornflakes and bran flakes they are the same as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed these and will stock up on them before they withdraw them from the market.

I was sent a box of these to sample, but was under no obligation to write about them.
