Project 365 27th October - 2nd November

The clocks have gone back and winter is on the way. The cows have been taken in and the sheep are down of the hills for the winter, just little signs but signs none the less.

Sunday

Was a sad day for another family pet. You can read my RIP post here if you wish too.

Dipsy cat's basket

Monday

Have been needing my hair cut for a while, as have daughter and granddaughter, so it was done today, in the house. You can read our afternoon of pampering and have a laugh here.

Fifi getting her hair cut

Tuesday

We had friends up from London for a few days and had them over for tea tonight. Some nice beef done in the slow cooker along with some roast potatoes, roast sweet potatoes, roasted butternut squash and roasted harlequin squash. Very nice it was too.

Wednesday

Had to drop the cat basket back off at daughter No1's house and went for a walk round the church yard while we were out. The trees look very impressive in the sun but the sun would not shine for me.

Thursday

As the weather was truly awful when I brought the children up we decided to do some none messy crafting. It had been dry till gone two, but when it started it bounced off the roads with rivers running down the street, topped with a howling gale I cheated and use the car to pick them up.  I had some Christmas crafting kits left over from last year so I set them to sowing puppets and bags.

Friday

Made some lemon meringue sponges. very nice they were too. Did a small recipe post

Saturday

I had to go into the town yesterday and whilst I was in decided to nipped into Wilkinsons and see if they had their Halloween stuff reduced. They did, it was all down to 25%, so I bought a pile of crafting goods that they can make next year. They can get popped into the loft and come back out next year.

  1. The loss of a pet is heartbreaking. Took me five years after the death of the last dog to get our new puppy. They are so much part of the family. Hugs

  6. I always buy seasonal stuff in the sale and then forget that I've bought it until I buy more and go to put it away in the exact same place! I'm so sorry you're having such a rough time of it late, keep strong lovely lady.
