a herby Gammon casserole

I spotted a tweet the other day, and it was nicely timed. I was making gammon and veg in the slow cooker with herbs and garlic salt, so I have to join in with this months linky that Karen over on Lavender and Lovage is running, called ironically enough Cooking with herbs. You can see the linky here if you would like to join in. 

So I diced carrots

and a harlequin swede

an onion

put them all in the slow cooker with  the chunk of gammon and a herb infusion pot. I love these things and they make herbs so easy and they add such a wonderful flavour.

and added some boiling water

Put the lid on and leave for eight hours. Serve with mashed potatoes.

Nice flavoursome nutritional meal that really you cannot go wrong with.
